Most images begin with a simple journey to be alone with God.

We had a 20 minute stare down. Either he was confused as to why the tree had legs (mine) or how he walked up on me and did not see me. I got a cramp in my leg so I had to move. He bolted. (but not before I snapped a few!)

  • Seeing myself through the eye of a frog.<br />
(psst...look closer)
  • Dog days of summer. I had a dog that looked just like this one. It brought me back some good memories. I had to snap a shot.

  • [C]-C-B-A-G-F-E-D Birds in the Key of C. (Only music people will get this!)
  • Sea birds or should I really say they are lake birds. Early AM shooting for shots of water or birds as signs of spring. I got both!
  • They say that this bird is common in this area. This was the first time I have seen this one. Illinois Beach State Park.
  • This one was fun. It had to be the way the light hit the two that made their color stand out. I think the tops of the wings are more colorful.

  • Don't remember if it was shot two or three of the series. Still love it.
  • (He he...antler envy.)
  • You know when I least expect them, they always show up in front of me. The trick is to be quick yet quiet and yet move slow enough to not to spook them.
  • My nephew spotted him while we were on his first photo excursion. Good Catch! This is why you have to wear the camouflage! (at first it feels silly but then when the day is done...well...see for yourself.)
  • Not tack sharp but I love this picture. It was a challenging one, dark lit, trying not to spook them, AND MY PHONE RINGS! "Please Silence or turn off all cell phones"...or else risk it!
  • I call him Pete the Buck! (like the dog from the "Little Rascal's") Falls here, prepare for winter.
  • I finally scared him off after 20 minutes. It was a an early morning that day. Sunrise shots as well. What a pay off.
